Kingston, Jamaica – Singing sensation Raine Seville recently returned to Jamaica after a whirlwind two weeks of promotion in New York, USA.

DASECA’s first lady found herself in the ‘Big Apple’ to support fellow DASECA-member Serani at the launch of his debut album No Games at the SOB club in New York. While there the singer made great strides when she met key figures in the US entertainment scene. The singer soon after hit the streets and did a number of interviews with the US media, leaving a lasting impression in the minds of many.

Raine elaborated on her time there saying, “Wow it was an amazing trip, one of my first interviews was with Tempo. They did a mini artiste feature with me so that people could get more familiar with Raine Seville. I was also the host of an episode of their weekly ‘Cross Caribbean Countdown’ – where they show the top ten hottest videos from the Caribbean – my video Slippery When Wet being one of the ten. The interviewer was pleased to tell me how honored he was to meet me because when he first saw my videos who was like, ‘who is this girl? A home run for Gramps Morgan and Danglin

morgan1New York: This Saturday, October 3, reggae singer Gramps Morgan will take centre field to perform before the New York Mets game vs. the Houston Astros.

Joining Gramps at centre field will be singer Danglin who is getting massive airplay and fans with his new hit single ‘Excuse Me Miss’, the music video for which premiered on Saturday on CVM’s Onstage.

LOCAL NEW YORKERS TEAM UP FOR CHANGE WITH SCHOOL SUPPLY AND TOY DRIVE FOR CHILDREN IN JAMAICA

jampactlogoNew York, New York, September 18, 2009 – Jamaica Impact, Inc. (JAMPACT) officially launches its Annual School Supply and Toy Drive at The Door Restaurant, 163-07 Baisely Boulevard, Jamaica, Queens NY on Saturday, October 19th at 1:00pm.

The supplies raised will be distributed in December to JAMPACT’s four adopted basic schools in Kingston, Jamaica: Crescent Road, Coles, St. Steven’s and Maxfield Park. Distribution will also be made to other local schools. Since 1999 JAMPACT has successfully coordinated its school supply and toy drive and distributed to these and other schools located in impoverish neighborhoods in Jamaica.

The drive runs from September 1st through to October 31st. Capleton and Beenie Man Set to Deliver Huge Performances at “REEEWIND”

The streets are talking about this epic affair set to go down on Saturday, October 3 at Amazura in Queens, New York. And lately there has been a perpetual argument brewing of which of these former rivals, Beenie Man or Capleton, will perform better. The last time the two met in “Reeewind’s” very same venue, the event erupted into a friendly lyrical showdown, which had patrons on their toes until the wee hours of the morning.
