Sunday, August 16, 2009 11:04 AM – What can I say; this will be a hard review for me. Yes me the Queen who have reviewed hundreds of reggae artists over the years. (smile).
The positive thing is: The Show was centrally located at: The Premiere Reggae spot – Caribbean Grill in Dallas, making it easy for the fans to find. The night as we have come to know was Texas hot!!! The DJ’s played a solid set. Local Artist such as Singing Kumba was in the house, always pleasant to see him. Singing Kumba brings always the sunshine with him; positive Rasta vibes even though he did not perform. The house was packed!!! This is also a good indication that Reggae in Dallas is getting back its Reggae Grooves.

Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill the nation’s largest Caribbean owned franchise chain, will introduce a low priced meal alternative to customers starting July 1st to August 31st on two of its top-selling menu items. Dubbed the “$2.99 Recession Special” for good reason…. the franchise chain is joining the cause to help customers keep money in their pockets by offering a “snacker” meal of curry or stew chicken served with rice & peas for under $3.
According to GK President & CEO Lowell Hawthorne, this promotion is well-timed, as customers become more discerning about where and how they spend the limited funds at their disposal.
