(Kingston, Jamaica) — Coca-Cola Zero’s involvement in entertainment is far-reaching. Not only does it encompass musical entertainment, specifically their upcoming (January) concert featuring international superstar, Sean Kingston, but they are also no strangers to Hollywood.
The brand recently partnered with Twentieth Century Fox on a major global promotional campaign for James Cameron’s epic-adventure film AVATAR. Cameron, the Oscar-winning, director of the timeless blockbuster, Titanic, took years to get the his masterpiece showcased to the world. Thankfully, with the evolution of technology, the film is now a reality, and is now being shown in over 30 countries; it promises to be yet another mega-hit.
Unique Caribbean Short Film Program at Rode Loper Festival in Amsterdam
On Saturday September 26 the Caribbean Creativity Foundation will present two unique programs of short films from the Caribbean as part of the Rode Loper Festival in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. From 14.00-15.30 hrs and from 19.30-21.00 hrs a wide range of productions will be screened at the Oosterpark, from documentaries and trailers to animation films and music videos. Together they represent the diversity and quality of the current media landscape of the (Anglophone) Caribbean – a region where a new generation of filmmakers has arrived. Armed with a digital camera they document the rich stories from the Caribbean and the Caribbean diaspora.
Delivering new Caribbean-based films, production company, Color Bars Production will premiere the high impact action drama movie ‘Redemption of Paradise’ in Jamaica this Wednesday, August 19, at Weekenz in Kingston. Following that, the movie will hit the big screens via Palace Amusement in Jamaica before heading to the box office across the Caribbean and the rest of the world.After its successful run at the box office, director/executive producer Noel ‘Doc’ Howell’s Color Bars Production will release it on DVD and online via Amazon and Netflix.
(Kingston/Amsterdam, August 10, 2009) — Jamaican director Mary Wells is pleased to announce the successful completion of principal photography on her first feature film Kingston Paradise. This new gripping action drama from Jamaica now enters post-production and is expected to release in theatres in 2010.
Jamaican actor, Paul Campbell and director, Adrian Allen, were guests and seminar conductors at the 2009 Belize International Film Festival July 23-28, 2009 taking place through August 2, 2009 at the Bliss Institute in Belize City. They were also there to promote their upcoming film, The Heart of Summer”. The festival’s aim is to expose the work of filmmakers from the region including Belize, Central America, Mexico, Peru as well as Canada and the USA, and is coordinated by Suzette Zayden of NICH Belize (National Institute of Culture and History).
