BMW Celebrates Restaurant Week with Ladies Night Out

Kingston – Press Release. Today’s lifestyle trendsetters are young, hot and fabulous, and now, they’re also eco friendly and socially responsible. Take for example, ladies like Beyonce and Rihanna, Gwen Stefani and JLo. Jamaica has its own style mavericks who influence what’s hot and what’s not, and high on the Jamdown A-list are the ladies of the Dancehall/Reggae fraternity whose confident swagger easily match those of their international counterparts.

Luxury brand BMW, distributed by Stewart Motors, celebrates Restaurant Week 2009 by hosting seven of Dancehall/Reggae’s hottest female artistes, in a Ladies Night Out. These ladies will experience the Joy of Arriving in Style! Dancehall/Reggae Divas Kris Kelly, Cherine Anderson, Tifa, Denyque, Stacious, Timberlee and Ishawna, will dine together at Café Aubergine before heading to Fiction to meet more of Kingston’s most popular celebs and hotties to dance the night away, courtesy of BMW.

The artistes will kick off the night with cocktails at the fashionable Spanish Court Hotel before experiencing the JOY of being transported to the Courtyard at the Marketplace for dinner and dancing in the uber-stylish BMWs courtesy of Stewart Motors.

For an added bit of spice, a hot new BMW makes its Jamaican debut on the final night of Restaurant Week at the Courtyard at the Marketplace, where guests can get a sneak preview. Don Corleone’s freshly released “Feminine Riddim” features six of the seven
female artistes being fetted by BMW for Ladies Night Out at Restaurant Week. All of the songs resonate with strong and heartfelt lyrics that women can relate to, and these songs are already seeing heavy radio rotation locally. Kris Kelly hasn’t looked back since being discovered by Nelly Furtado’s manager at a karaoke night when she was 18. She recorded her debut single “Hide Away”
within two weeks of signing with that management company and now with “Never Give In”, she spreads her wings on the “Feminine Riddim”.

Singer, songwriter and actress Cherine Anderson is an accomplished entertainer with an album, two feature films and international tours from Australia to Washington DC with the likes of Michael Franti and Spearhead as well as Sly and Robbie. Cherine adds her dancehall soul style to the mix with “Real Love”. Dancehall’s Princess Tifa has proven herself to be one of the hardest working
women in Dancehall since her initial hit “Crawny Gal” with Ward 21. Her song ‘Why’ on the ‘Feminine Riddim’ is already a favourite with fans while Stacious, the self proclaimed “Gangstress of Dancehall”, makes her presence felt with “Fight Back”. Denyque, a 19 year old singer who made her debut earlier this year with “Can’t Breathe” for Arrows Records, adds her voice to the riddim with “Pieces”. Ishawna who hit the local music scene with “For You”, a duet with Demarco, adds her vibes with “Good Love”. Another Ward 21 alumni, Timberlee is Dancehall’s femme fatale who first made her presence felt with “Bubble Like Soup” and “High Stepping in Heels” closes BMW’s Ladies Night Out guest list for Restaurant Week.
