CALL ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE -THE INSIDER TPS LAUNCHED

With Rising call costs being another consequence of economic challenges, many businesses have begun to feel the pinch of having to dole out more in the long and short run to cover increased telephone expenses. While Information communication technologies (ICT’s) have proven to be essential to a company’s operations, there’s no doubt that a reduction in this expense would benefit companies with their planning and management if a call cutting strategy were available. In meeting the demand for this well needed cost cutting strategy, Interactive Voice Solutions Jamaica(IVSJA) was launched The Insider TPS (Track. Plan. Save) on Wednesday, November 4 at the Knutsford Court Hotel in Kingston.

Speaking to the ways in which Innovation significantly improves bottom-line benefits Mrs. Sandra Glasgow; Chief Executive Officer for the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica heartily endorsed Insider TPS. In her presentation, she indicated a passion for entrepreneurial ventures and in this stead lauded the IVS CEO, Mr. Riley on this superb accomplishment. “This product offers opportunity for managers to analyse the way we need to do business and with tools like these we have no excuse about how we improve our productivity in the public and private sector…This is such a winning product and should quantify benefits for all businesses” she passionately stated.

Previously launched as iEasy CR (Call Reporting), Version 4 of the product has been aptly re-branded Insider TPS. With its innovative call accounting solution, Insider TPS will allow employers to track telephone usage by different variables such as incoming calls, outgoing calls, date calls were made, calls over a certain dollar figure, time of call, cost of the call, who made the call, what code was used and

the duration of said call. This software will therefore provide Jamaicans in the productive sector with a tool that will help them to achieve desired results including:

* Increased Efficiency
* Reduction and eventual eradication of telephone Abuse
* Ideal tool for Budgeting and Departmental Planning
* Determining personal from business or official calls
* Easy to Use Interface
* Helping companies to develop updated business directories
* Helping customer service entities to determine how much their supply meets the demand, by indicating how long customers are on hold.
* Provides an interface that can be accessed in real time with no limits on the number of lines that can be accessed.
* Increased productivity by reducing the time required to assign a printed bill to staff for checking off personal calls.

Over time, the software will also boost general productivity and savings across the organization, as it allows staff to maximize production time, while reducing unnecessary telephone calls throughout the day.

Currently, version three of the product, called iEasyCR (Call Reporting) and has been receiving positive reviews from varied companies, both private and public. It is being used in The House of Parliament, Tax Administration Services Department (TASD), Early Childhood Commission, The Companies Office of Jamaica and the Delegation of the European Commission, just to name a few. The rebranding though, will showcase a more advanced product with a much easier to use interface and expanded capabilities for greater productivity.

In reiterating the benefits of the software to the development of local Businesses, David Riley, CEO for Interactive Voice Solutions pointed to the product as another innovative way to combat high operating costs. “These are indeed challenging times and in the interest of not sacrificing quality of work due to rising operating costs, we have to devise strategies to lessen the impact of varied financial difficulties. In this regard, The Insider TPS provides a perfect opportunity to save in at least one area of company expenses, and after all, any saving that can be done will definitely be beneficial to a company’s overall goals” he said.

In supporting the need for such software, Mr. Marlon Morgan, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Finance and the Public Service alluded to the product as being particularly timely and in line with what the government has been encouraging. “I am particularly pleased as this goes to the heart of what the government is championing. We are encouraging innovation, Entrepreneurship and Enthusiasm. This is the out of the box thinking that the government embraces and will drive us forward in the Information Technology age“. He said. He also pointed to products such as Insider TPS promoting a greater level of accountability and stewardship, which the government is also seeking to encourage across all fronts.

With its rather inexpensive one time set up costs, this software will greatly help to soften the impact of rising telephone call costs and abuse, thereby helping all companies that utilize it to save both in the short and long run. With multilingual interfaces and plans to expand across the Caribbean region Insider TPS is also in essence a step in the right direction which can serve as an encouragement to other Jamaican Entrepreneurs and innovators to utilize creative thinking as we work together to weather the current economic challenges.
