(February 6, 2009 – Miami, Florida) Love is in the air and Zojak World Wide has crafted a Valentine’s Day album for reggae fans and lovers everywhere. Available February 10 on I-Tunes and e-tailers everywhere, One Love Remains consists of a heart-warming collection of 14 tracks of special roots and lover’s rock tracks along with choice dancehall selections that will spice up any relationship.
From Dennis Brown’s “Little Green Apples” (1971) to Glen Washington’s “Before It’s Over” (2001) and “Tek Weh Yuh Gal” (2004) from Cocoa Tea up to the present time with Perfect’s “Miss You Baby” (2008) on the Bed Of Roses riddim, One Love Remains reflects the best of lovers tunes across the years. Roots reggae is represented as well by Leroy Smart, who fuses his unique rockers sound with a lover’s lament on “Mirror Mirror” while Beres Hammond, without whom a Valentine’s album would simply not be complete, pulls on the heart strings with “You Don’t Know Me”, a brand new tune from the veteran singer. “Lover’s Question” featuring Jack Radics and General Degree combine on a light hearted song with questions every person in a relationship wold like to know.
And conscious reggae melodies help Anthony Red Rose (“My Name Is Red Rose”), Frankie Paul (“Sweet Baby”), Steve Steppa (“Without You”) and again Cocoa Tea (“Smiling Faces”) emphasize the importance of the lady in a man’s life. One Love Remains also includes the recent hits from Rastafarians Anthony B whose “Tease Her” presents a playful approach to love, and Queen Ifrica’s “Bun Some Herb”, a song whose real meaning touches on one Rastafarian woman’s view on the benefits of being in a relationship. The collection of songs on One Love Remains come together to form a lovingly crafted Valentine’s Day album in a way that reflects the diversity of ways to express love and respect. This year, One Love Remains will help you say all the things you wish you could say but couldn’t always find the words. It’s simple. It’s One Love.
