JAMAICA TAKES OVER NEW YORK’S PORT AUTHORITY

NEW YORK – January 8, 2009 – Kicking off its Winter Rescue Program on Tuesday, January 6 at one of New York’s busiest commuter terminals is Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett (centre) with Director of Tourism John Lynch (right) and Director General Carrole Guntley (left). The winter rescue program, which will run throughout the month of January features a new advertising campaign, comprising ceiling banners, large floor mats and large scale posters designed by DraftFCB. It is aimed at encouraging travelers to escape the cold this winter and enjoy a warm and affordable destination, just over three hours away.   Other events will also be held in key markets including Philadelphia, Boston and Chicago.
