Rhythm and Booze all set for Christmas Day

On Christmas Day, December 25, 2008 Mainsource Media one of the promoters of Appleton Treasure Island (ATI) 2007 and 2008, in association with Appleton Jamaica Rum will stage their signature event ‘Rhythm and Booze’ at the LIME Golf Academy under the theme ‘Christmas Brews’.

Rhythm and Booze is a staple on the regular Christmas events calendar, and in previous years was held on the second Saturday in December. “We’re going to give them [patrons] something special for the Christmas Season”, says Onel Williams of Mainsource Media and no day is more special than Christmas Day for what promises to be an epic event. The party will be a super all-inclusive affair with a sumptuous menu of Christmas favorites, a wide selection of the best ‘booze’ and of course the pulsating ‘rhythms’ of hit music as interpreted by Renaissance’s Jazzy T, Code Red, DJ Smurf and Urban Legend. Patrons will have the opportunity to pose with the celebrity Santa and receive gifts from his goodie bag, regardless of whether they’ve been naughty or nice. The party promises to be “sexy but crunk” where people from all socio-economic backgrounds can enjoy themselves without inhibitions.

Tickets are JA$2,000 pre-sold and JA$2,500 at the gate. Pre-sold tickets are available at Go West, Xtras Manor Park and Mall Plaza, Genus Pharmacy Portmore and Esso Tigermart’s Dunrobin and Liguanea.

Old Spice Swagger VIP Lounge

The ‘swaggerific’ crowd who would prefer a more premium experience can purchase VIP tickets for only JA$4,000 which will give entry to the Old Spice Swagger VIP lounge. There they will enjoy an augmented menu and top shelf liquor via waiter service and a bird’s eye view of the entire event via strategically positioned flat screen televisions.

A charitable donation from the proceeds of Rhythm and Booze will be made to the National Youth Service (NYS). Onel Williams of Mainsource Media is a mentor in the NYS programme and chose that charity because, “many young people have great ideas, but no direction or opportunities so we want to help them expand.”

Background

The first Rhythm and Booze was held on February 21, 2004 at Curphey Place and it was then a drink inclusive party with 1200 patrons. The event is now staged three times yearly: March Soca season, Summer (ATI) and Christmas. The first all-inclusive edition was held December 2007 at the Curphey Place, which they have now outgrown. The most recent Rhythm and Booze was held in ATI Negril Summer 2008 and had over 3000 patrons. Mainsource Media is also the host of the popular Valentine’s Day party ‘Rum n’ Roses’, as well as the weekly summer series ‘Kingston Sexy’.
