Get Smart Riddim Selection – Ward 21, CeCile, Sojah, Natalie Storm…

Get Smart is the brand new riddim selection produced by Phlatline Sound Productions, Germany. The new dancehall-r’n’b selection is the result of a consequent effort. In total, nine artists are featured and so the selection offers a huge musical variety and several different styles. The Get Smart riddim skillfully forms a new entity by uniting hip hop and melodic elements of reggae. 100 bpm demonstrate its impulsive character which encourages everyone to dance and party. The new riddim selection presents once more a dynamic mixture of established reggae/dancehall and up-and-coming artists.

The undisputed big tune on this production is “How You Wine” by Ward 21. Their innovative and energetic style makes it a catchy hit tune. Also the Sojah strugglers walk the talk and produced the second tune for the new German label. “Just The Vibes” is again a perfect party anthem and joins the first production “Party All Day” (Newstah).

Also part of the round is one of the most famous female Jamaican dancehall artists. Of course, we talk about “Bad Gyal” Ce’Cile. With “Need A Boy” she enriches the riddim selection tremendously and fascinates with her positive sexy image. Up-and-coming star Selena Serrano refines with “Get It” a phenomenal pinch of R’n’B and Soul to the new production. That’s exactly where her gentle voice – with 34 vocal parts – comes into its own and illustrates her shining musical talent. The third in the trio, Natalie Storm completes the dynamic female combo with her tune “Nasty Boy” and presents the Get Smart riddim selection in a wonderful self-confidence way.

Another promising newcomer is Sanjay. His tune “Swing It” is a typical bouncing ladies tune and makes the girls definitely wine their waists. Also, Honorebel shows his lyrical skills and presents with “Gimme The Music” an appealing party tune illustrating music as a gift to everyone all over the world.

That’s not all – there are two more specials! True to the motto “Free World, Free Speech!” the 13 year-old Jamaican DADDA adds with “Rolling High” young charisma to the production. His talent is obvious and his powerful style makes his music even more attractive. Last but not least, German artist Ronny Trettmann shows his versatility with “Grossvater” (Grandpa) which deals with the serious issue of war and its disastrous effects. Therefore, this thought-provoking tune demonstrates perfectly that Get Smart also supports and emphasizes profound lyrics.

In brief, Get Smart is melodious, Get Smart is hip, Get Smart turns on!
