KINGSTON, Jamaica – June 2, 2008 – Posh Entertainment Productions Limited franchise holder of Miss Earth Jamaica Beauty Pageant announced that after an extensive interview and selection process they will designate and crown a Jamaican representative with the ultimate honor of representing Jamaica in the third largest International Pageant, the Miss Earth® Beauty Pageant to be held on November 9 in Manila, Philippines.
In fulfilling the ideals of the competition “Beauties for a Cause” the young woman, who receives the prestigious title of Miss Earth Jamaica 2008, will become a Goodwill ambassador and spokesperson for Jamaica, as well as its environmental and tourism industries. She will work with environmental projects and educate Jamaicans on the three R’s (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) which will ensure that the entire nation understands the need for greater responsibility in creating a sustainable future for us all.
The crowning will be a formal invitation-only event held under the theme “Go Green Jamaica” which will take place at the Blue Mountain Suite, The Knutsford Court Hotel, on Sunday, June 22, 2008 and will be attended by government officials, sponsors, representatives of NGO’s, celebrity, entertainment personalities and the media.
