April 13, 2008 – Kingston, Jamaica - The Caribbean Education Foundation, Inc. (CEF) awarded the Vernice Stubbs Higher Education Sustaining Scholarship to four brilliant and ambitious students who are matriculating at the University of the West Indies (UWI) and University of Technology (UTECH) in Jamaica. The scholarships total $180,000 Jamaican dollars.

Miami, FL March 28, 2008 — In a drive to educate Jamaicans living in South Florida, the Jamaican Diaspora Foundation will extend its message of collaboration and communication in the diaspora on Saturday April 26th, 2008 at the 4th Annual Dennis Ziadie Cup Soccer Match. The soccer match will be played at the Silver Shores Park , in Miramar. The Silver Shores Park is located at 15700 Pembroke Road in Miramar (Southeast corner of Dykes Road and Pembroke Road ).
All Jamaicans are invited to attend and learn more about the continuing organizing effort among Jamaicans across the United States. Match attendees will learn more about the upcoming Jamaican Diaspora Conference in Jamaica on June 16-17, meet advisory Board members, and learn how they can join the various committees and share their expertise and Jamaican spirit.
