Miramar, Florida, April 9th, 2008 – With recent victories in two Alumni High school soccer tournaments the Jamaica College Old Boys Association of Florida (JCOBAFL) is confident their team will be victorious at the 4th Annual Dennis Ziadie Cup Memorial Soccer Match on Saturday April 26th, 2008 . In the previous 3 years of the event the St. George’s College Old Boys Association off Florida (STGCFL) has been victorious.

Captained by Dr. Scott “Scotty” Hamilton the JCOBAFL team beat Excelsior High School in the Final of the Annual Calabar All High School Football Tournament on a winning goal by Sean Watson . JCOBAFL won the final by the score of 2-0 in a very convincing manner with both father and son scoring, Sean Watson junior opened up the scoring for JC in the first half.

In the semi-finals of the Manchester High All High School Tournament the JCOBAFL team defeated Calabar High School of a penalty by “Scotty “Hamilton. They then advanced to the final which they won off a header by Richard McDonald. It was a difficult match against a Manchester High team that featured former World Cup & national team players.

“This year, our team has great depth,” said Dr. Scott “Scotty” Hamilton “We have some great players have grown together from the past 2 tournaments. St. Georges College always fields a great team for the Dennis Ziadie Tournament.

Dr. Hamilton continues “although we beat them in the other tournaments, their comment is always that their right team was not here. Well I know their right team will be at the Ziadie Tournament and our right team will be there as well and it will be a good day for good football.

The soccer match will be played at the Silver Shores Park , in Miramar .. The Silver Shores Park is located at 15700 Pembroke Road in Miramar (Southeast corner of Dykes Road and Pembroke Road ).
