Many people might be wondering what happened to the talented young artist by the name of Lemon who had several singles in rotation on radio a few years ago such as Tear It Off, Children Crying and Up & Down on the B.I.G label. The talented upcoming singer who delivered exciting performances on events such as Reggae Sumfest & GT’s Extravaganza, seemed poised for success but then he just disappeared from the local music scene. The western Jamaica based artist simply took a break to better his craft. He has been busy for the past few years working on a number of projects with his manager/producer Ralston Barrett (Torie-Shae’s Production/ B.I.G Records) and his other colleagues in their camp. Since his last release Tear It Off on the Quick Action rhythm (B.I.G Records) in 2003, he has recorded a number of unreleased songs for Barret’s B.I.G label and other producers such as Computer Paul (Boot Camp Records) & Richard Brown (Isle Of Springs label). These songs feature different musical genres and styles. He has recorded more than enough songs for an album. However he is in no rush to release an album now as he and his management team is concentrating on releasing several singles such as Got To Overcome, Chill & Hold A Vibes, Man Of My Word & Coochie Tight over the next couple of months going into next year.
Now that he is ready to hit road again a lot of things will be different as he has made several changes including a name change, the name Lemon is now a thing of the past. Since March of this year he has been performing under the name Timmi Burrell. Having done a string of performances on events in his home town of Negril and other areas of Westmoreland he is rearing and ready to touch the big stage again. Timmi Burrell says “this time the fans will see a new and improved me, a stronger singer with more flavor and style. I will be giving them the best that I have in terms of the songs I am doing and my performance on stage I’m not holding back I’m gonna give them all I have”. Timmi Burrell’s first big show will be Negril Impact on November 17th at Long Bay Beach Park in Negril. This event will also feature top acts such as Beenie Man, Freddie Mcgregor, Richie Stevens & Macka Diamond among others.Timmi Burrell will also be appearing on several major events during the upcoming holiday season..
