INDIA ARIE SIZZLES AT EME AWARDS

Kingston: India Arie was named this year’s International Friend of Reggae at the recently held 6th Annual Excellence in Music & Entertainment (EME) Awards 2010 staged at the Gardens at Jamaica Pegasus in Kingston. The EME Organizers were honoured to have her present at the event, as this was her first appearance since winning her third Grammy the Sunday before.

Arie received her award after gracing the stage with Gramps Morgan. The two performed their duet, “Therapy”, which is featured on Morgan’s album, “2 Sides of My Heart”, which was named the 2010 EME Album of the Year. Now, the Golden Tongue Awards (GTA), a prelude to Poetry in Motion (PIM), appeals to younger and new poets.

Omar Azan to speak on the future of the Jamaican Economy & Brand Jamaica

Creative Media and Events, creators of WEALTH Magazine and Bar Week, relaunches Corporate Mingle in 2010 with a bang, corporate Jamaica’s premier networking opportunity Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6:00pm -10:00pm at the Fiction Lounge, Market Place on Constant Spring Road.

This staging of the event will be primarily significant due to the topical nature of the proceedings, which will be highlighted by guest speaker, President of the Jamaica Manufacturing Association (JMA), Omar Azan, giving an in-depth look at the state of the Jamaican economy and various ways in which it can be improved. The 6th Annual Dennis Ziadie Cup Football Match

Miramar, Florida – The 6th Annual soccer match between the Jamaica College Old Boys Association of Florida and the St. George’s College Old Boys Association of Florida for the Dennis Ziadie Trophy will take place on Saturday April 17th, 2010 in Miramar, Florida. Wasp Nabs 'Song Of The Year' Award

Kingston Jamaica: February 02, 2010: Cassia Park deejay Wasp continues to show upward mobility in 2010 and was last weekend rewarded for his efforts by taking home the awards for ‘Most Requested Song’ and the coveted ‘Song of the Year’ for ‘Unfair Officer’ at the ROOTS FM awards show and concert held on Friday, January 29th at the station’s premises in Cockburn Gardens.

The award show unlike many others aims to bestow accolades on our local talent who continually churn out spiritually uplifting music throughout the year, the kind that aids in the rebuilding process of an emotional and economically battered nation such as Jamaica.
